Last night, the Swedish Hit Music Awards 2002 took place resulting in no awards for E-type, unfortunately. He was nominated in 2 categories: "Best Swedish song" and "Best Swedish artist / group". Both categories were won by "Kent" who on the night became the top-scorer of awards.

E-type did, however, present 2 awards which were "Best Swedish video" (won by "Paola - Above the candystore") and "Best foreign video" (won by "Tenacious D - Tribute").
