Myra:

I didn't mean me, Flasher T. I meant me, the Estonian fan. It's not like there totally isn't a market for E-type's music here. Radio Uuno, arguably the biggest station in the country (and the one who is always associated with all the big concerts), has been giving E-type regular playtime for years, even when there were no new releases. There are a lot of people who enjoy his music (although they may not be hardcore fans like all of us). His CD's would sell pretty well, I'd think.

I'm sure that if I was to go through my employer (the newspaper) and promise SR a review, they would actually mail me a CD for free. But that's not the point. Stockholm Records doesn't want to make an effort for fans in Estonia. I don't see why fans in Estonia should make an effort for Stockholm Records

hey ATL,

have you concidered to go to Bol.com, there you can order E4E.
and can get it with a acceptgirokaart, for the link check www.etype.nl
that is the best way to support E-type.

greetings

If SR doesn't care about the Estonian fans, then why should the fans care about SR... now that's only bacause by minding about SR you mind about E-type, and other SR artists. But why would you care about E-type, if he doesn't care about you... always have to have something back, right?

you know, at least Finnish people think that as one goes to Tallinn, one shouldn't buy any albums, since they're always pirates and getting caught in customs with them will cost a lot. I don't know where the reputation for Estonia came, but you sure aren't really helping me to get rid of it.

It is not worth to pay almost 30 guilders more for the CD ... would you pay 30 guilders more for a cd which is much cheaper ??????????????????????????
Guess you also don't!!!

Myra:
Doesn't matters!!! Everyone can forget things!!!

Flasher T:

Actually that was a few years ago. The reputation came from the fact that the absolute majority of Finnish people who came to Tallinn were only here to get wasted on cheap vodka (by their standards, that is) and buy a lot of cheap stuff on Kadaka market and at the Merekeskus. The CD's sold there were pirated, and very cheaply made infact, because the salesmen knew that a Finn wouldn't exactly come back and start demanding his money back or anything. They were pretty expensive too, around 100FIM for a software CD. Then the police came down upon them. It's not that hard to get pirate software these days, but you have to go through the Internet. As for music... well, you can always find a friend with a burner. Anyway, those pirate music CD's cost 40-50FIM and lasted a couple months. I quickly realized that paying more for a factory-quality CD makes more sense, as did most others (of course with burners that changed). And just in case you haven't guessed already, Finnish vodka tourists don't have much in the way of a good reputation around here either.

I'm sure SR is a good company for most of you. But if it has not chosen to promote E4E in Estonia and bring the records over, it's not a good company for me. (Like I said, it's the individual shops who decide which CD's to sell.)

Hehe.. I can imagine the situation with Finnish vodka-tourists.. haha.. but let's say that you get 3 bottles of 80% Viru Valge at the price you get one bottle of 40% Finlandia here.. so I guess.. it's understandable. Actually the only time I've been to Tallinn, I came with my University group, as we came to get some booze for our xmas-party.. so.. haha.. but what can you expect, we pay approx. 30fim of the trip there and back, that's less than a bus to the neighbouring cities..

I've actually never bought any music from Tallinn, so I wouldn't say. The only 2 pirate CD's I have, I bought from St.Petersburg.. and I didn't know it at the time they'd be pirates, since they were sold in a bigger shop..

anyway, you're saying it's up to the shops if they'll take it or not... of course it is. Stockholm Records can't FORCE the shops to take the album to be sold... actually, that's not special to Estonia. Even in Finland it is totally up to the shops if they want to take the album or not. Half of the shops haven't taken it. Stockholm Records only offers the album for the national companies (Universal Finland in Finland) and first it's up to them if they take it. Then they (universal) offer it to the shops, and then they decide whether or not they want it.

So now, if Stockmann will have the album this week, then SR has done it's job and offered the album to the national company that imports the album. So if the album won't be in all the shops, it's not because of SR, it's totally because of the shops.

I hope you can see that, so you wouldn't blame the "innocent" ones... ;)

and to the end.. I'd hope that we wouldn't have to turn this fight any deeper, since I woudn't care to make new enemies.. ;) So we don't have to hate eachother cause we share different opinions.. right?
