Oh My God!
I guess this must be the sequel to Princess of Egypt that mentioned in Voxpop yesterday... I could imagine it tells about the same girl..
I also enjoy the fact that he has some lyrics in Turkish.. (I just wonder if he knows they have a meaning in Turkish, or is it just something he thought sounded nice and Arabic...)
But.. ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL THE RELEASE!!!!!! (sorry for the caps, they're just there for the same reason as the exclamation marks...)
:):):):):):):):):):):):)

ATL.. read carefully...
I didn't say I heard a COPY of Princess of Egypt, I said it is the SEQUEL to it. That means that the story of Princess of Egypt continues in Arabian Star (something you could guess form the name too.. Egypt is an Arab country..)
And how I ended up to claim it's a sequel was because I was watching Voxpop yesterday from SVT and there said that there's a sequel to Princess of Egypt on the album. He was actually speaking about a trilogy, so... I don't know what the third song in it will be...
but as I said, I don't think it's a copy of anything! and you know, there's only 7 notes (plus majors, that'd make 12) so you can be sure that every new song must have same notes than earlier songs. after all, people have been making music for centuries... so teh 12 notes have been used many times in different songs! that still doesn't make a new song a copy or a plagiate from an old one :)
with all respect,
Myra

I like the song. You both right, it's a mix of a Flying Demone beat and Princess of Egypt's tune. Myra, you can be sure that he sings about the same girl, he always does ;) By the way, could you prease translate what the Turkish words in the text mean? Pleaseeeee?

Don't think that he plagiates the songs. He has his own style which is different from anybody else, that why we like it :-)
However, I'd like to know from whom does he gets the inspiration and soil for the lyrics.
Take care and don't fight,
Olga.

I have also heared songs which look like the 2 which I had written in my first reply on Myra her message!
And I also recognized one song which sounds like STEPS or something like that ... but then a bit harder!
That was what I wanted to say!

oh my...
first to Phoenix (and to everyone else too) the part he sings "bitti akil" is litterally "the brain/mind ended" in turkish, but to translate it correctly I would say it means "I went out of my mind" or something in that direction.
And then... I see all the songs as "individuals" so even though Arabian Star has the same beat or same "production" than some other of his or someone elses songs, I can hardly see it as a copy.
And once again I say, that I said it's a sequel to Princess of Egypt only because himself was talking about a sequel. I was repeating his words there.
just to avoid misunderstandings.
I can hardly wait for the album.. I go every day and hear a new song.. and I think they all are soooo awesome! as awesome as only can be!
