Hi Natasha!
I think it has something to do with a girl he met in Egypt once - as he writes on the single for Princess of Egypt.
Here's the exact quote from the single: "This song is a true story about a girl I met in ancient Egypt named Lina"
So it might be that :)

I've got an interview of which was in a finnish magazine and he says that Lina is from Sweden and he hided that text in lyric sheet so she would never know that had feelings for her. He also say that he can reveal that because he knows that Lina can't read finnish...
Interview was in magazine called MIX on January 1999
ps. I'm a Finn so I don't write perfect English... |

Hi Handy!
Your English is really good, so don't be sorry about that!
It sounds really interesting ... was it possible to get hold of that article for the site maybe? I think a lot of fans would love to read as many news articles as possible about , even though they are a bit old maybe!

You are also not interested in an ARTICLE from the BREAK OUT ... so ...
And if you would publish it ... then you have to pay a lot of money I guess !!!
So also not possible
(I mean the one which I had with me on the WEEKEND 2000)
See ya!

Well Hello!
First to continue what Handy started (I have that article too..) it also says that she is an upper -class girl, and it would never have been appropriate for her to bring home a longhaired musician as a boyfriend... so that's why he's comparing him with a princess, who's life is ruled by the "upper" powers.. (You are the princess of Egypt and I'm just a man!)
anyway, if Handy can't get the article to you, I can.
Handy, Tervetuloa pitämään suomalaisten puolia!! Ehdinkin jo ihmetellä missä kaikki on..!!
(That was just something I said to welcome Handy, since I'm also Finn, but there's not that many Finns around the site!)

Myra: I have already scanned it so you don't have to bother yourself. I'm just about to start translating it in English. If that job is impossible to me then I might ask some assistant from you. (luulenpa et englanti sujuu sulta paremmin)
And I've been idling here for couple years and I'm sure there are other Finns who read these webpages but don't want to reveal themselves...
Oh and one more thing. It would be nice if somebody would be in chat sometime so I'm going to be in that chatroom every saturnday at 8pm CET (not today though) and I hope you will too. I know you have had chat events but people easily forget when they will be so it would be more easier if you deside that chat will be every week at same time (for example every saturnday at 8pm).
That's all for now...

Hey, it's a great idea. I think it would be wonderful just to gather every week, and even if you can't make it, you always can come next week.

I wish she would know it's about her. If still has the feelings for her.. I'd love to see them fulfilled :)
Anyway, to Handy, I can translate it, if you find it too hard :) Just mail me, so we won't both do it :) (elikkäs.. heitä mailia tuolta community-sivulta, jos haluat, että minä käännän sen..)
oh.. and about the Chat-events... I also think it would be a nice idea!! We haven't had any settled chats in a long time, so.. maybe there would be more people if the chats were more regular??
I don't know, worth a try.

A chat event should be appropriate now, since the site (and the board) is seeing more action than it has for most of the year, if not more. |
