Hi ^^ I was wondering if anyone knew what the lyrics were to the female vocals section in this song, and what language they were in and what they meant?
Thanks,

Hello!,
I have often wondered that myself. The vocals sound kind of like Spanish, but not quite. I just think that she is singing very softly and kind of chanting the words so that they are more difficult to understand.
But from what I can piece together the one part says something like
" now if we could all come together"....but I cant really distinguish the rest.
Hope that this helps you out!.
God Bless 4Always,
Heather :) |

I don't know what she sings actually, but I guess the following will help to get to know what was the language.
In credits for this song there is written: "Bouzouki by Lakis Iliadis". Bouzouki is a Greek traditional instrument as I know, so maybe the girl sings in Greek language? |

This is what I got from a Greek guy after I posted the request and gave the link to the sound sample of "When Religion Comes To Town" on one of the greek forums:
----------------------------------------------------------
there are 4 greek phrases. they are not very clearly. mainly the second one.
ïôé èá ðåé êáëï, ðáñåîçãéåôáé - every good he/it says, is misunderstanding
åñ÷åôáé óôïí êïóìï íá äùóåé êáôáíïçóç - he/it comes to the world to give understanding
åêìåôáëëåõïíôáé ôï ïíïìá ðïëåìïò - they exploid the name war
ðñåðåé íá ðáñïõìå ôï êáëï ðéóù - we have ôï take the good back
i do not speak very well english, may there is someone else, who can translate it better...
hope it helps.
