Hello all!!!
I am maybe thinking quite a bit stupid!
I am listening to the song:
BROOKLYN BOUNCE -- CLUB BIZARRE
As the most of the people know it's a cover from U96
Now am I thinking ...
Such songs (covers) are mostly hitting the tops of the CHARTS! So maybe good idea for to cover once a song ...
I know is mostly making his own style of music! But maybe he can cover such a song as:
HERBIE -- RIGHT TYPE OF MOOD
of something like that ...
people ... what do you think about this???
And what kind of songs is then a thing for to cover?!
Ow yeah ... a friend of mine heard in several songs of pieces which are "stolen" from other artists!
I also heard in one song a STEPS melody ...
so ... anyone else who also heard that???
See ya!

I don't think he should cover other artists. But that's his choise, ofcourse. and the record companies'.
But to the "stolen bits"... that's ridiculous.
we've talked this before.. there's a limited amount of notemarks available, and since people have made music for centuries, it's quite obvious that some songs may have similar sounds!
I could also say that the new track from Britney Spears is a straigh plagiate of Destiny's Child's "Story of a beauty" but... is it still only a coincidence??

He definitely doesn't need to cover anything. He's okay without it. I have a very low opinion about artists who do such things, even if it's legal. It's like an artist is not sufficiently talented, and incapable to create something of his own, and needs to remake somebody's song in order to hit the charts. Euuuu!!! Also, there are no songs that would match his lyrics line. |
