Good Place! A really cool club called the Rockefeller, where we had a GREAT gig. 800 - 1000 people were there and they were having a ball too! The party after the gig lasted until 6 o'clock in the morning, and we got great reviews in the papers. The ratings were 4 out of 6. Hope, we'll get to play Norway again!

The concert at "Rockefeller" from a fan's point of view:

E-type and the amazing (!) band put out a great show for us, the third of June 1999.
The band came "marching" on stage to the sound of "Ultimos homo statans" and started off with "Angels crying". Other songs from the brilliant album "Last man standing" included "Princess of Egypt", "Hold your horses", "Morning light" and "Here I go again" as an extra number.
But they also played some of E-types earlier work such as e.g. "This is the way", "Russian Lullaby", "I just wanna be with you" and "Free like a flying demon".

The show was very energetic. Up on stage they had two great torches with blazing fire which made everything a bit more intense. It was a bit more "rock and roll" than I had expected, but it worked really well.

Everybody (both up on stage and in the audience) were feeling great, and were having a blast.

Dee was looking great by the way. She wore a really cool, white "bikini - suit", and did a great job both singing and dancing.

Even though E-type is a very successful musician, he doesn't take himself too seriously. He spent a lot of time off stage, singing with the audience. During the first song he handed me his mic, and asked me if I wanted to sing. I was so fascinated by him that I didn't even know what song they were playing!
He also got a girl to dance with him up on stage, and he shared his drinks with members of the audience. After the show he would even write autographs. Is he a great guy or what!?!

At one time he said "Look at me, this is how far you can come without being able to sing". But who needs to have a voice like Pavarotti when you can sing like E-type??? He did great, though… Just like the records, or even better (if that's possible..)

If you look at the audience at a E-type concert, you will see that his music attracts all kinds of people. He has successfully created "utopian music" - music for all.

When bands play at smaller clubs such as "Rockefeller", you get closer to them than you would have done if they had played at e.g. a stadium. But not always. Sometimes the performers create a gap between themselves and the audience. Fortunately this is not the case when it comes to E-type.
He really shared himself with the audience, and I have never felt closer to his music than I did at this concert. It was wicked to hear his music played out loud , and being able to hold his hand while he was singing.
He made me feel the music, and that's what it's all about!
